FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

With offering such a wide variety of services, we at Reno Handyman Services get asked a lot of questions. If you've never hired a handyman before, we assume you'll have many of the same. See if your answer is below. If not, give us a call and we'll be able to give you an answer.

Q: How much do you charge?
A: This is probably our most frequently asked question at Reno Handyman Services. The easy answer is that we estimate how long the job will take, the materials needed, and any other special considerations dependent on the service. After we've given you an estimate, that's the price. If we hit a snag or are delayed, we don't charge you for the extra time that's needed to complete the project. Your satisfaction with our service is our priority. Due to years of experience, the estimates of time needed are fairly accurate.

Q: Do I need to supply anything?
A: There are some jobs where we prefer that you supply what is needed. For example, if you want us to install a light fixture, we want you to pick out the fixture and have it before we arrive. If what you need to install is difficult to transport, we can work something out to have it brought to your home.

-  We would supply other materials like screws, drywall, wires, cables, and other various equipment. We are happy to work something out if you have a particular request, but we prefer bringing the equipment we know we'll need.

Q: Who do you offer services to?
A: We offer services to both residential and commercial customers. This includes business owners, homeowners, and property managers. We are flexible and able to help most people who ask for it.

Q: Can you do plumbing?
A: There are some jobs that require a licensed and certified plumber. Handymen are able to seal leaks, replace faucets, add water filters, and do a few more basic jobs. If you have a plumbing repair, we would want to take a look at the job to make sure it's something we can handle. If you hire someone unlicensed, you can void the insurance policy on your home. We take these jobs seriously. If you have any doubts at all, give us a call.

Q: Can you do electrical work?
A: This will be a similar answer to the plumbing question. You can risk voiding the insurance policy on your home or business if you don't hire a licensed electrician to do major electrical work. Handymen can install light switches and light fixtures. We ask you to give us a call and talk to someone to save you from headaches down the road.
